Hi, my name is Christina Blanker and I’m honored to be the student of the month for September. These past three years have been such a big adventure and I can’t believe I’ve already begun the first term of my senior year. When I became a freshman, I had no clue what I wanted to do in life. I was playing everything by ear and had many interests that I wanted to pursue. Now I’m applying to colleges, positive that I want to become a veterinarian. Although I'm looking into many colleges, I plan to go to Colorado State University. To prepare myself for college I’m taking many dual credit classes and have enrolled in a few college classes at AWC.
These next few years for me are going to be very tough but I’m very glad that I got the opportunities that I’ve gotten here at PHS. A couple of other facts about me are that I’m this year’s Senior class Vice President and I’ve been playing piano for about 9 years. Playing the piano is one of my favorite ways to de-stress for me and is something I plan on continuing to pursue. I’d like to thank Mrs. Flores for reigniting my flame for music and giving me challenges to help better myself while also creating a safe environment and helping many of her students to overcome tough times. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for me and once again, I’m very honored to be September's Student of the Month.
