April Student of the Month

Hello! My name is Amber Horse Stewart, and I’m honored to be April’s student of the month. I am the daughter of Michael and Malene Stewart. I have spent my whole life growing up in Parker with my two older sisters. My time at Parker High School has been nothing but a pleasure. I’ve been a part of the PHS band for the past six years. Band has always been my favorite subject, and I am grateful for the constant support from the best band director, Mrs. Flores. I have been in Talent Search for seven years, HOSA for four years, and NHS for two years.
I have taken some college courses at Arizona Western College for the past four years. I am thankful for the head start and the experience it has given me. I recently completed the Certified Nursing Assistance program and am currently taking English 102 Dual Enrollment and Psychology 101.
I will be attending the University of Arizona College of Nursing, where I will pursue a nursing degree with a specialty in trauma. Once I complete my degree, I plan to come back to Parker and work at the La Paz Regional Hospital, and after that I intend to become a traveling nurse.
I would like to thank my friends and family for all the love and support they have provided me. I also want to thank all my teachers for giving me the resources I need to succeed. Lastly, I want to thank AWC for giving me a head start in higher education.
