Amanda Rovey smiling in front of a tree

Hi! My name is Amanda Rovey and I’m incredibly grateful to be chosen as Parker High School’s March student of the month. I am the 18 year old daughter of Nathan and Nicole Rovey, and I have one sister, Emilia, who is a sophomore. During my time at Parker High School, I have been involved in FFA, National Honor Society, and Varsity Volleyball.

I started playing volleyball in 6th grade and have enjoyed it ever since. I played for PHS’s volleyball team for three years. My favorite memories were overnight tournament trips and winning our region championship this past season with my best friend, Della.

I have been involved in 4-H and FFA for as long as I can remember. I have shown all sorts of livestock in the past and am currently involved in showing sheep and goats for my last year in FFA. I am the Parker FFA Chapter’s current treasurer. This experience has taught me numerous life skills such as responsibility, time management, and making financial decisions.

After high school, I plan to attend Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota and study elementary education. I would love to become an elementary teacher and impact young children through their education.

I would like to thank my parents, as well as Mrs. Moody, Mr. Carlson, and Mr. Wheatley for helping me through high school and making my experience one of the best!
