Hi! My name is AnaMarie Baldenegro and I am pleased to be Parker High School’s May Student of the Month! I am the daughter of Mike and Kelly Baldenegro, and I come from a large family. I am the youngest out of my siblings, in which I have 5 older brothers. Also, I have 9 nieces and nephews total, who I love being an auntie to. My family means very much to me, and they are the reason I’ve pushed myself so hard throughout these last 18 years.
During my time at PHS, I have been involved as much as possible. I have been a part of Volleyball, FFA, Student Council, and National Honor Society. Each organization has taught me life skills that I am beyond grateful to have acquired.
I started playing volleyball in the 4th grade and it has stuck with me ever since. My favorite memory was winning the Region Champs Title in 2024, which was my junior year. I learned how to be a team player both on and off of the court, which will forever benefit me.
I have also been a part of 4-H and FFA, in which I am grateful to have had the opportunity for. I have always loved animals, and raising livestock has taught me patience, responsibility, and time management.
I am also the current Senior Class Secretary/Treasurer, along with the National Honor Society President. Helping others is the backbone to both of these roles. In the Student Council, I help organize and plan events for the senior class. As President of the National Honor Society, we enjoy giving back to our community by hosting the Alumni Tea, Blood Drives, cleaning up around our school, and many other service projects. Both of these positions have helped me learn how to be a better leader, which is an important life skill to have.
After High School, I will be attending college. Over summer, I am moving to Tucson to study at the University of Arizona. I was rewarded with a Wildcat Scholarship and an early acceptance into their College of Nursing, where I am positioned to receive my Bachelors in Science. I am beyond excited to expand my knowledge and use it to help others!
None of this would have been possible without the support system behind me. I would like to thank my siblings, the entire counseling office, my coaches, and all of my teachers who have always been nothing but helpful to me. Also, I want to thank my parents for always encouraging me to try new things, telling me to put myself out there, and for always being able to rely on them for support. Most importantly, I thank God.
