Emilia smiling for the camera in the campus courtyard

Hi, my name is Emilia Rovey and I am so grateful to have been chosen Parker High School’s September Student of the Month. I am the 17 year old daughter of Nathan and Nicole Rovey, and I have an older sister, Amanda, who graduated in 2025. Throughout my time at Parker High School I have been involved in FFA, NHS, S Club, volleyball, and, most recently, Student Council.

I have shown livestock for 8 years and I have loved every bit of it. I have been an officer for FFA throughout my years and currently serve as one of the Vice Presidents. I am also involved in the NHS where I am serving as Secretary. Recently, I joined Student Council as Student Body Treasurer, and I have also become involved in S Club. Each of these activities has given me opportunities to grow as a leader and become more involved in my school and community.

Outside of school I enjoy water skiing, jeeping, and riding my dirtbike. I love living on a farm because I have so much room outside to do many different, fun things. I also learn discipline, and responsibility because things need to be done and they need to be done right.

After High School I plan to attend New Mexico State University and major in Agricultural Economics. My Goal is to eventually open my own farm-to-table bakery. I have had a passion for baking for as long as I can remember, and I would love to turn that into a career while also working with agriculture.

I would like to thank my Parents for always pushing me to do things out of my comfort zone. I would also like to thank my sister for always being a role model and someone I can look up to. I also want to thank God for always guiding me and giving me these opportunities.
